A. Lý thuyết

I - So sánh sự giống nhau

1. Cấu trúc so sánh với like

Chủ ngữ + động từ + tân ngữ (nếu có) + like + tân ngữ. 

Ví dụ:

- My sister has a dress just like mine.

Dịch:  Em gái tôi có chiếc váy giống hệt của tôi.

- She looks like her mother. 

Dịch: Cô ấy trông giống mẹ.

2. Cấu trúc so sánh ngang bằng với as…as

Chủ ngữ + động từ + as + tính từ hoặc trạng từ + as + tân ngữ. 

Ví dụ:

- The pen is as expensive as the notebook.  

Dịch: Cái bút đắt bằng quyển sách.
- Dịch: Bruce dresses as smartly as Liz.  

Dịch: Bruce ăn mặc chỉn chu giống như Liz.

3. Cấu trúc so sánh với the same as

Chủ ngữ + động từ + the same + danh từ (có thể có hoặc không) + as + tân ngữ. 

Ví dụ:
- All students just do the same as their instructor. 

Dịch: Tất cả học sinh đều thực hiện động tác giống giáo viên của họ.

- You’re wearing the same dress as mine. 

Dịch: Bạn đang mặc một bộ váy giống hệt của tôi.

II - So sánh sự khác nhau

1. Cấu trúc so sánh với unlike

Chủ ngữ + động từ + tân ngữ (nếu có) + unlike + tân ngữ. 

Ví dụ: 
- My taste in music is unlike my friends’. 

Dịch: Gu âm nhạc của tôi không giống với các bạn tôi.

- She looks unlike her mother.  

Dịch: Cô ấy trông không giống mẹ mình.

2. Cấu trúc so sánh ngang bằng với not...as...as

Chủ ngữ + not + động từ + as + tính từ hoặc trạng từ + as + tân ngữ. 

Ví dụ:

- The school bag is not as cheap as the pen. 

DỊch: Cặp sách không rẻ như cái bút.

- Mary doesn’t dress as smartly as Liz. 

Dịch: Mary ăn mặc không chỉn chu bằng Liz.

3. Cấu trúc so sánh với not ... the same as

Chủ ngữ + not + động từ + the same + danh từ (có thể có hoặc không) + as + tân ngữ. 

Ví dụ:

- A touchscreen cell phone isn’t the same as a traditional one.  

Dịch: Điện thoại di động có màn hình cảm ứng không giống với điện thoại truyền thống.

4. Cấu trúc so sánh với different

Chủ ngữ + động từ to be + different from + tân ngữ. 

Ví dụ:

- A pencil skirt is different from a maxi.  

Dịch: Một chiếc chân váy bút chì thì khác với một chiếc chân váy dài chấm gót.
