UNIT 3: WHERE DID YOU GO ON SUNDAY?

Lesson 2: 1, 2, 3

  1. Objectives:

- After the lesson, students will be able to ask and answer questions about mean of transport.

- Developping: Listening – Speaking – reading skills.

- Vocabulary: province, coach, underground, holiday.

- Grammar : How did you get there? -> I went by……..

I. Warm up: Bingo

- Tell Ss: there are six words in the grid:

(The name of some places).

- Ask Ss to copy the grid down to their notebooks and select six words at random to put them in the boxes.

- Call out the words until there is a pupil getting three words on a straight line crossed out and calling Bingo! He or She is the winner.

II. New lesson

1. Look, listen and repeat.

- Ask Ss to open their books on P.10

- Ask: Who are they?

Have Ss listen and repeat the short conversation between Miss Hien and her pupils. (twice)

- Have Ss play role to read the dialogue in groups.

- Call some pairs to read the conversation.

2. Point and say

- Ask Ss to look at the picture

 

* vocabulary: province, coach, underground, holiday

- Sentence: How did you get there? -> I went by……..

- Do picture a as a model.     

  How did you get there? -> I went by motorbike

- Have Ss work in pairs to practice

- Call some pairs to read in front of the class.

 

 

 

 

3. Let’s talk

- Have Ss look at the book and work in pairs

- Call on some students to show in front of the class.

- Check and correct.

III. Consolidation

- Call some pairs to practice in front of the class.

IV.Conclusion and homework

- Ask Ss to do Exercise
