Đáp án:

1. as => than

Cấu trúc so sánh hơn với trạng từ ngắn: S1 + V + adv-ER + than + S2.

I run faster as my brother does.

Sửa lại: I run faster than my brother does.

(Tôi chạy nhanh hơn anh trai tôi.)

2. quicklier => more quickly

Cấu trúc so sánh hơn với trạng từ dài: S1 + V + MORE + adv + than + S2.

People in the city seem to react quicklier to changes than those in the country.

Sửa lại: People in the city seem to react more quickly to changes than those in the country.

(Mọi người ở thành phố phản ứng với các thay đổi nhanh hơn những người ở miền quê.)

3. more hardly => harder

hard (adv): chăm chỉ/ vất vả >< hardly (adv): hiếm khi

We need to work more hardly, especially at exam time.

Sửa lại: We need to work harder, especially at exam time.

(Chúng ta cần học chăm chỉ hơn, đặc biệt là lúc có kỳ kiểm tra.)

4. the earlier => earlier

So sánh hơn với trạng từ 2 âm tiết tận cùng là -y: S + V + adv-ER + than + S2.

You must finish harvesting the rice the earlier this year than you did last year.

Sửa lại: You must finish harvesting the rice earlier this year than you did last year.

(Năm nay cậu phải thu hoạch lúa sớm hơn năm ngoái.)

5. more highly => higher

high (adv): cao >< highly (adv): đánh giá cao

As they climbed more highly up the mountain, the air became cooler.

Sửa lại: As they climbed higher up the mountain, the air became cooler.

(Ngay khi họ trèo lên phía cao hơn trên núi, không khí trở nên mát mẻ hơn.)
