LESSON 7A: VOCABULARY – WORTH A VISIT
I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- Understand and can describe the visitor attractions
- Vocabulary:
+ Visitor attraction: Tourist attractions, aquarium, botanical gardens, castle, cathedral, museum, national park, mosque, market, bay, fountain, palace, ruins, statue, temple, theme park, water park, tower
+ Describing visitor attraction: atmospheric, beautiful, boring, busy, cheap, crowded, disappointing, expensive, historic, impressive, peaceful, remote, romantic, spectacular
2. Ability:
- main skills: listening and speaking skills
- sub skills: reading and writing skills
- Apply new words about visitor attractions, describing visitor to describe the places in Vietnam
3. Quality:
- Have positive attitude in English language learning so that they can participate enthusiastically in all classroom activities, especially with the topic conducted by the teacher
- Can distinguish many tourist attractions and some adjective to describe tourist attraction
- Know how to share their opinion, describe the places in Vietnam

III. PROCEDURES
A. Warm-up (7’)
a) Objective: Introduce the new lesson and set the scene for students to acquire new language; get students' attention at the beginning of the class by means of enjoyable and short activities as well as to engage them in the steps that followed.

- Explain and ask them to read some clue and guess the country
- Give SS some clues about flag colours, population, food, cars, famous place, people
- Lead to the lesson: “Worth a visit” |
- Play the game in groups and volunteer to answer - With one correct answer, a whole group get one point. They also get bonus points if they can explain why they choose that answer.
- Open the book on page 82 |
