Mẹo ghi nhớ trọng âm

Các động từ như donate, deliver, participate đều nhấn vào âm tiết thứ hai: dəʊˈneɪt, dɪˈlɪvə, pɑːˈtɪsɪpeɪt. Danh từ như access, orphanage nhấn âm đầu, còn volunteer có đuôi -eer nên nhấn ở âm cuối. Em nên đọc to từng từ cùng phiên âm để nhớ lâu hơn.

Lỗi sai thường gặp

• Dùng participate mà thiếu giới từ in: sai khi viết “participate the club”.
• Nhầm raise (gây quỹ, nâng lên) với rise (tăng lên, không có tân ngữ).
• Nhầm donation (danh từ) với donate (động từ).
• Viết volunteer thành volunter: nhớ phần đuôi là -eer, gồm hai chữ e liền nhau.
